Sat, Apr 4, 2015, 08:37 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka. Apr 04, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police today used water cannons to disperse a group of protesters who attempted to forcibly enter the Kuragala archaeological site in Balangoda.
Police Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said the protest was organized by a group of supporters of the Sihala Ravaya organization.
The protesters had violated an enjoining order issued by the Balangoda Magistrate's Court preventing the protest.
ASP Gunasekera said the police used water pressure to disperse the protesters and that none were injured in the incident while no one was also arrested.
