Feb 09, Polonnaruwa: President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena today said that he will appoint a special presidential commission this week to probe the large scale frauds and corruption that has allegedly taken place in the country in the past few years.
Addressing a public meeting held this afternoon at the Aralaganvila market complex in Polonnaruwa to felicitate the President, Mr. Sirisena said the Commission will be assigned to investigate any individual accused of corruption regardless of their positions or political affiliations.
