Thu, Feb 26, 2015, 12:56 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka. Feb 26, Colombo: Several allies of Sri Lanka's former ruling party, United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA), are to meet with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to call on him to contest at the next general election.
Leader of the Democratic Left Front, MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara has said the meeting between several groups in the opposition and the former President will take place shortly.
