Wed, Feb 18, 2015, 08:21 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka. Feb 18, Colombo: Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has set up a special committee and a cabinet subcommittee to look into the activities of the Chinese funded US$ 1.5 billion Colombo Port City Project.
The Prime Minister told parliament that a cabinet subcommittee, headed by him has also been appointed and it will take a final decision on the project after considering the ultimate report of the special committee.
The special committee, headed by the business management expert Ajith de Costa, will look into the complaints lodged by the public regarding the controversial project.
