Wed, Dec 17, 2014, 11:39 am SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.Dec 17, Colombo: A stage set up for an election rally of the common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena to be held today in Wanduramba, Galle, has been destroyed by an unidentified group early this morning.
The attackers have come in two Defender vehicles and had damaged the stage set up in front of the bus stand in Wanduramba Galle and destroyed the decorations, the police said.
The group has also set fire to the vehicle that brought the loudspeakers but the fire has not spread.
